Operator Case Study / BetaTHERM Sensors
From $2.4M to $63M, and a Successful Exit.
My path at BetaTHERM Sensors began in plant leadership and led to running the business across Ireland and North America. As the company grew, the challenge was to build the team, commercial engine and controls to support a larger international operation.

Measured Result
$2.4M → $63M
Revenue growth before exit
Revenue grew from $2.4M to $63M, followed by a successful sale in 2006. This was an operating leadership and ownership journey, not an advisory-client result.
What I Worked On
The Work Behind the Number.
01
Build management capability
Recruited and developed the management team, with clearer responsibilities and expectations.
02
Install commercial and financial discipline
Introduced management reporting and a focused sales strategy, including new global customer relationships.
03
Create options for ownership
Led a management buyout in 1998 and later led negotiations and due diligence for the 2006 sale to a publicly listed North American company.
The Lesson
Build the Business Behind the Growth.
A valuable business is built over time: through leadership depth, commercial focus and systems that buyers can understand and trust.
